Stress Medicine 2027

We are pleased to be able to offer the stress medicine course again in 2027. The course provides in-depth knowledge and practical tools for stress medicine. Dates: Friday, January 15, 2027; Friday, March 12, 2027; Friday, April 30, 2027; and Friday, June 11, 2027, from 9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. each day.

Stress medicine in practice – a further education and training course offered by SAPPM

Our Goals:

  • You understand the physiological and psychological foundations of stress
  • You can identify, diagnose, and treat stress-related physical disorders
  • You will learn the skills needed to communicate about these disorders
  • You’ll be better able to recognize your own stress and learn 2–3 helpful personal strategies for managing it
  • They understand the effects of sleep, exercise, mindfulness, and loneliness on health and can apply their therapeutic potential in everyday clinical practice
  • You understand the concept of “social prescribing” and can implement related interventions
  • You can assess and treat your patients’ psychological distress using PRISM (Pictorial Representation of Illness and Self Measure)

Course location: Interpreten Multipurpose Room, Kasernenstrasse 23, 8004 Zurich

Course Structure:
4 sessions of 6 lessons each on theory and practice, plus supervision in small groups.
Course dates: Friday, January 15, 2027; Friday, March 12, 2027; Friday, April 30, 2027; and Friday, June 11, 2027, from 9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. each day

Keynote speakers:
Prof. Dr. med. Stefan Büchi and PD Dr. med. Nik Egloff, as well as an interprofessional team of subject-matter experts
