Pain medicine

New course starting in November 2025. Chronic pain conditions affect 18 – 20% of the population in Switzerland. Our course focuses primarily on the large group of patients with primary chronic pain (ICD-11). Our curriculum aims to contribute to differentiated and personalized pain diagnosis and treatment. This is based on neurobiological findings on central pain perception, in which psychosocial contextual factors and biographical imprints interact. 31-39 credits SAPPM; 31-39 credits SPS
