Bienne / Biel

Working meeting 02.12.2025

Before the end of the year, the members of the Board of Directors, the Association of Psychosomatic Medical Directors and the members of the SAPPM Scientific Advisory Board met in Biel for an exchange of views.

In addition to a pleasing report on the development of our professional association with a significant increase in membership (N. Egloff), a specialist presentation on the status of current scientific research (U.T. Egle), there was a review of the atmospheric Annual Congress 2025 (N. Bianda) and an outlook on the upcoming Annual Congress 2026 in Basel (R. Schäfert).

Other essential topics were the health policy development of our rehabilitation sector (S. Muminagic) and a quantitative analysis of the influencing and effective factors on the course of rehabilitation at our clinics (G. Brupbacher).

The dense program was concluded with 3 workshops on the topics of “Further training offers in practices, EPAs”, “New SAPPM quality criteria for inpatient offers” and a workshop on “Future issues”.

Speaking of the future, awareness and demand for our holistic contribution is clearly growing in the clinical area. In the field of research, we are in the midst of an exciting expansion of understanding. However, the most important thing for all of us is to ensure that our members can continue to work in the future – for the benefit of patients.
